Kochi: Actor Dileep and others will be questioned by the crime branch investigation team for three days as per the ruling of the Kerala High Court.
They will be questioned from 9 am to 8 pm from tomorrow. The court will further hear the anticipatory bail plea of the actor and others on Thursday.
The prosecution argued that it needed at least five days custody of the accused for questioning.
The prosecution presented more documents in sealed cover before the court accusing Dileep and others of conspiring to harm police officials who had probed the actor assault case of 2017.
The court directed Dileep to co-operate with the cops and warned against trying to influence anyone.
Dileep said that he was prepared to appear before the investigation team for any number of days without getting arrested. His brother Anoop, T N Sooraj, a relative Appu, friends Baiju Chengamanad and Sharath, a businessman, had filed for anticipatory bail before the High Court in connection with a conspiracy case pertaining to harming investigative officials.
The crime branch has revised the charges slapped on Dileep earlier and has added another case of conspiring to harm the police officials.
The crime branch had booked Dileep and others for conspiring to harm some cops after director Balachandra Kumar came out with claims of having proof in this regard.
Following this Dileep and others moved the court seeking anticipatory bail. The case pertains to an assault on an actor on a moving vehicle by an accused who said he did it as per the direction of Dileep. Dileep was arrested and spent about three months in jail before getting a bail.
