Kochi: One of the wanted terrorists, Shahid Latif, 41, has been shot dead by unidentified attackers in Pakistan today, media reports said.
A key conspirator of the 2016 Pathankot terror attack that martyred seven security personnel, Latif was killed inside a mosque in Sialkot where he was working as a Moulivi.
Another terrorist was killed in the attack. Latif was associated with the Jaish-e-Mohammed to carry out the Pathankot airbase attack that lasted three days, the reports said.
Latif had used four terrorists to carry out the terror attack in Pathankot.
Latif was arrested in India in 1994 on terror charges. After completing his sentence in 2010, he was deported to Pakistan.
Last month, Mufti Qaisar Farooq and Ziaur-Rehman of Lashkar were killed in Karachi. In February, top Hizbul commander Bashir Ahmad Peer was killed in Rawalpindi.
