Kochi: Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan today made a surprise visit to the busy Sweet Meat Street at Kozhikode drawing strong criticism from the CPM.
The Governor, who mingled with the common people and took selfies, said that there was no threat for him from the people of Kerala who he said loved him.
The Governor said that he had not said anything against the people of Kannur.
The CPM district unit alleged that the Governor was trying to create a situation to make it appear that the constitutional machinery had failed in the state.
The CPM alleged that the unscheduled visit of the Governor was done as per the advice of the BJP leaders.
The CPM accused the Governor of continuously making provocations in a conspiracy with the RSS.
