Kochi: In a major blow to actor Dileep, the investigation team has slapped a non-bailable case against him for allegedly plotting to finish off a cop who was instrumental in nailing the actor in the actor abduction and abuse case.
The move comes after the Crime Branch team held a meeting on Saturday to conduct further investigation into the digital evidence provided by Dileep’s associate and film director Balachandra Kumar.
The case is related to the audio of Dileep who is allegedly making remarks to finish off Baiju Poulose, DySP, who investigated the case.
Top police officials attended the meeting in Kochi presided by ADGP S Sreejit on Saturday.
Balachandra Kumar made the revelations through a TV channel a few days ago during in which he claimed that he had enough evidence to prove that the actor was behind the actor abuse case. Balachandra Kumar said that he was divulging the evidence as he was worried about his life.
The prime accused Pulsar Suni too had expressed fear for his life and had sent a letter to his mother accusing Dileep of planning to harm him.
Suni had allegedly abducted the actor on February 17, 2017 and abused her in a moving vehicle.
