Kochi: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shiv Kumar has been selected for the J Alexander memorial award.
The award, constituted in memory of late Karnataka Minister J Alexander, will be presented on January 14, 2024, coinciding with the second death anniversary of Alexander, J Alexander Study Centre, who are organising the event, said.
Political leaders from Kerala and Karnataka will attend the event. Alexander, who was Karnataka Chief Secretary, passed away in 2022. He got IAS in 1963 and began his career as the sub-collector of Mangalore.
After retirement, Alexander joined politics and was elected to the assembly on Congress ticket.
