Kochi: The Supreme Court granted 2017 actor abuse case accused Sunil N S (alias) “Pulsar Suni” bail on Tuesday, media reports said.A division bench passed the order and directed Suni to be produced before the trial court within a week for his release on bail.Malayalam actor Dileep is an accused and was jailed for over 85 days. Dileep got a bail.
The court observed that Suni was behind bars for over seven years.The Court said that the State could argue for stringent bail conditions before Suni is released on bail.Suni is among those accused of being part of a conspiracy to abduct and sexually attack the prominent south Indian film actress in 2017.
According to prosecution the actress was abducted, driven around in a car, videographed, and sexually assaulted, allegedly at Dileep’s behest.Suni was arrested in February 2017 and hasremained in jail since then.The Kerala government appealed to the Apex court to deny bail to Suni.
