HC says pay salary without discrimination

Kochi: The Kerala High Court has directed the management to disburse salary to employees including drivers and conductors without discrimination.
Without paying salaries to those including conductors and drivers, salaries should not be paid to those in the supervisory grade, the court said in an interim order.
The court directed the management to pay the salary in a time-bound manner.
The government should intervene in the matter and make the corporation self-reliant, the court said while hearing a petition of the employees seeking payment of salaries to them.
The court asked how long it would go without paying salaries and pension.
The court flayed the government for depending heavily on loans and criticized the management for its inefficiency.
The court also took objection to the unions for taking to strikes and raising flags.
It is everyone’s responsibility to save the KSRTC, the court said.
The court also directed the management to furnish the assets and liabilities of the KSRTC.
