Kochi: Yellow alert has been sounded in 11 districts with the weather office predicting temperatures to rise upto 40 in a couple of districts amidst acute power shortage.
Except Thiruvananthapuram, Idukki and Wayanad, all other districts are expected to come under the purview of Yellow alert.
Temperature is likely to hit 40 degrees Celsius in Kollam and Palakkad April 5 to 9.
Thrissur is likely to have 38 degrees Celsius while Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Kozhikode 37.
Ernakulam, Malappuram, Kasaragod are expected to remain at 36 degrees Celsius, the reports said.
